What is in refresco de cacao?
Toasted cacao, rice, cinnamon, milk and sugar (the no added sugar version has no added sugar).
Does it contain dairy?
Yes. All our drinks contain milk, including the version with no added sugar.
How long does it keep?
Keep it refrigerated. It has no preservatives. Ask us on WhatsApp.
How much does it cost?
500 ml C$70, 1 liter C$120 and ½ gallon C$200, the same for every drink.
Where can I buy it?
Every Saturday at the Farmers Market in San Juan del Sur (La Reina del Sur, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon), by delivery in Rivas and San Juan del Sur, and through our distributor in Tola and Popoyo.
Do you deliver to my hotel or Airbnb?
In San Juan del Sur we deliver at 6:00 p.m., free in town. Send us the address on WhatsApp and we will confirm.
How do I pay? Do you take dollars?
Cash on delivery, or bank transfer with a screenshot on WhatsApp. No cards yet. Ask us on WhatsApp.
Can my café or gym stock it?
Yes. Start with a free tasting. See our page for businesses (in Spanish) or write to us on WhatsApp. Sealed bottles for resale start on the date we confirm in writing.
What is semilla de jícaro?
The jícaro tree gives the dried fruit that becomes the jícara, the traditional cup. Its seed is flat, paper-thin and about the size of a lentil. We toast and grind it to make a second traditional cold drink.
